Summary

Creek Technologies is seeking a full time, on-site Web Application/Database Developer in support of the Naval War College (NWC) located in Newport, Rhode Island. The Web Application/Database Developer will develop, support and maintain web sites, applications, and databases for both external and internal audiences. The contractor shall provide face-to-face customer service, incident resolution, web, application and database support to develop and maintain the U.S. Naval War College external web site through the use of Dot Net Nuke’s Evoq Content 9.0 content management system, internal web sites through Google Sites/SharePoint, and digital publication and Institutional Repository though BePress/Digital Commons.

Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering including interaction with program managers and subject matter experts; writing documentation, functional specifications, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) • Develop and improve products with customer feedback (prototypes, demos, beta testing) • Create, update, and maintain web sites, applications and databases • Assist in the configuration, management and troubleshooting of web and database servers (IIS and SQL).

Qualifications

• IAWF (Information Assurance Workforce) I: CIW (Certified Internet Web Professional), CompTIA Security+ (and/or ISC2 SSCP certification) • Fundamental knowledge of Content Management Systems, knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Photoshop. • HTML and CSS. Expertise in editing and proofreading following specific style guidelines

Education

Bachelor's degree, with coursework in related fields from an ABET-accredited university (accreditation Board for Engineering) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Experience

Three (3) years’ experience managing SharePoint sites Five (5) years’ experience in programming using visual studio, NET, Java, C# Five (5) years’ experience professional experience in designing and conducting testing

Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance required

Skills and Abilities

• Skilled in working with JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, 508 compliance, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, API's, Content Management System experience, preferably Dot Net Nuke

Salary Range

Commensurate with education and experience
