Summary

Creek Technologies is seeking an Information Technology Network and Systems Administrator responsible for maintaining our “Always On” posture for our IT systems in the company. The Network and Systems Administrator requires a broad knowledge in multiple areas covering networking, systems administration, user PC maintenance, and SharePoint support. The successful candidate will have experience in many of these areas and willing to learn the remaining areas. The Administrator implements and maintains our networking functions of ISP connections; configuration of firewalls and network security devices; setup of network routers and switches; and maintenance of other network attached devices. The Administrator implements and maintains our system Administrator functions of Active Directory and Domain Name Server; Linux, Windows, SQL Database, SharePoint, and Exchange servers; Windows 10 and Mac OS X computers; and network printers. The Administrator implements and maintains our SharePoint support functions of Windows 2016, SQL Database, and SharePoint servers.

Daily tasks may include installing, upgrading, patching, and monitoring software and hardware including occasionally running cable in the facility. The Administrator will maintain the corporate operating systems, business applications, webservers, email, laptop, and desktop PCs, SharePoint/database/web servers, on/off-premises sites and site collections, organizational workflows, and user records.

Responsibilities

  • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration
  • Design and deploy networks, Wi-Fi devices, and VPN gateways
  • Perform network address and VLAN assignments
  • Maintain company PBX, VoIP phones, VoIP systems
  • Maintain company network security devices and systems
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
  • Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
  • Assign configuration of authentication, authorization, and directory services and systems
  • Build and administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, software deployment, security updates and patches
  • Maintain network servers and network attached storage devices
  • Maintain email accounts and phone directory
  • Maintain company security monitoring devices and systems
  • Maintain settings in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot user business applications

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance required
  • Security+ certification required w/in 3 months of start date required
  • Experience with LAN, switching, and routing required
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems: Windows 10, Microsoft Server 2016, Microsoft SQL 2016, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 required
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V required
  • Experience with Cisco router/firewall technology desired
  • Experience with NAS and on-site/cloud data backup desired
  • Experience with PBX and VoIP systems desired
  • Experience with SharePoint systems desired
  • Experience with SharePoint operations desired
  • Experience with SharePoint applications desired
  • Experience with software coding/development desired

Education

• Progress towards degree in computer science, technology, or relevant field desired • Microsoft Professional Certifications desired • Cisco Professional Certifications desired

Experience

  • 3 years experience working with networking and IT systems required
  • 5 years experience working with networking and IT systems desired

Clearance

None required to start. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance is required

Salary Range

• Commensurate with education and experience
